Screen Shot 2019-08-26 at 10.46.09 AMDr. Abby Kramer has a mission to empower others to feel and function as their most vibrant selves. She has been featured in various publications such as The Huffington Post, Bustle, E Health Radio Network, DIY Active, Chiropractic Economics and the American Chiropractic Association Journal of Rehabilitation.

Through her personal history of experiencing migraine headaches, chronic fatigue, and hormonal imbalances in her 20’s and being told repeatedly her symptoms were “normal” or “stress related,” she sought alternative care. Once she realized that her symptoms were her body's way of communicating deep physical, mental, and emotional imbalances, true healing occurred. Changing the course of her professional life, she became a doctor inspired to bring that same type of transformation to her patients –- ultimately becoming one of the foremost voices for progressive, holistic medicine in the greater Chicago area.

EP 142 - Anxiety: New Holistic Perspectives
Women tend to be at a higher risk of experiencing anxiety because of our hormones and the societal pressures of working, raising kids, and running the household.

While anxiety is a mental health issue, some of the solutions  can be found by looking at the body.

Your nervous system is like the master switchboard for the body. If your spine is in proper alignment and nerves are communicating well, everything functions better. Many people suffering from anxiety can benefit from and find relief in getting a chiropractic adjustment.

In addition to regularly visiting the chiropractor, women should analyze their diets and cut out processed sugar, monitor their blood sugar levels to ensure it doesn’t drop too low, and scale back on gluten.

Chiropractor and Holistic Physician, Dr. Abby Kramer, also recommends trying neuroemotional technique (NET), which is a mind-body stress relief technique that bridges the gap between what’s presenting in our lives and what we desire. This technique helps us process the emotions we experience subconsciously.

Listen as Dr. Kramer joins Dr. Taz to discuss how to treat anxiety holistically.
